Car Parts Information

its a 2000 cavalier 2.2 liter. i went to an auto parts store they said that they don’t run by cables, that they ran by a speed sensor. what should i do?

I have a ‘99 Trans Am with some mods, and when I bought the car, i didn’t realize how obsessed i’d be with racing it at the track. About how much would it cost me in parts and labor to get the ****** switched over to a 6-speed?

Ive got a new starter from Advace Auto parts, and I’ve already installed it, but.. Apparently the wiring is off, because my battery keeps dying. I’ve got 3 different wires going to my starter, and everything I’ve been reading up until now say I should only have 2?? I’ve got a small black one, big black one, and the big red one. I’ve got the big black and red ones connected to the middle terminal, and the small black wire connected to the “s” terminal… Help? =/

I dont know a thing about cars but I have been given a 86 oldmobile cutless supreme to get me around. It has horrible gas mileage but it’s all i have. Someone told me if I replaced the engine witha newer one it will get better gas milage is that true?

My daughter lost the ‘key’ to the “wheel lock” on her rims. How do I remove the wheel to change the tire ? Is there some gadgets I can buy ?

I need to replace the FOB since the key ring has broken off.

one motor I am thinking of overhauling is a Chevy 283
the other is a toyota motor for a 95 Geo Metro 4cyl.

I know someone that changes it every 3 months no matter how many miles she drives. Even after 1000 miles, she’ll change it. Is she wasting her money? She drives conservatively, mild weather, normal driving conditions, etc.
